Education: The Best Guard

Educa

One of the biggest losses which India witness every year is the scheme of Brain-Drain or inhabitants moving out of their own country. This is not a new term to this era; it has its beginning since the dawn of medieval period when the great rulers used to carry away heap of gold and inordinate treasures as well as men’s of  potential talent after eliminating the existing competitor. The present scenario of India has a bit difference to that of the past; nowadays the citizens are migrating according to their own whims to the sophisticated glittery and shiny accommodation.

The problem here remains is of education which has become a basic criteria for living and dwelling with the society. As education system is “rote” so basically cramming is the only way out to score a good number in their primary and secondary levels. When they come up to the college level usually a high end cut-off marks and reservation is being visible. As education system has an economical background so the seats are generally sold out to those who pays big amount, which results in a massive loss of the real deserving talents which tend to have a tough war with their career and lastly they prefer to shift. The few factors which can be highlighted to give space for the vacuum can be higher education which is one of the reasons as everyone wants the best of career in today’s world.

The generation Y are very focused about their requirements from life for education. The high end cut-off which brings a note of judgement between the students, knows which way to go if they didn’t qualify to the best universities which they have selected. They generally tend to give competitive exams like GRE, TOEFL, and ILTS etc. which opens the door for them to move towards a better platform. The inhabitants are getting bigger scope and more appraisals for their creativity which is providing a huge opportunity to the migrants. The options, the people are getting in terms of vast career growth, appraisals for creativity, and most importantly the chance of earning more for their livelihood and better lifestyle is the benefit which is merely seen here.

The unemployment and low salary is a huge problem which Indian society generally faces. The youth now days are more career oriented with their education so they doesn’t make any kind of compromise, but usually captures the best possible deals coming to them in the form of job. The Brain-Drain is applicable not only in countries but it is now effecting the state as well, many students are shifting from one state to another for better scope of their life. Half of the brightest have lost faith in their home state, tired of poor infrastructure, campus politics, and lack of opportunities. They prefer to study in other cities that have kept up with times and offer vibrant job market. This setting sun has left education with a question that is it growing for its dawn?

Education and India

India being a Sovereign Secular Republic country has a vast economy today where among the 121 corer Indians, a huge ratio of Homo sapiens belong to rural background. Though the existing society is trying to nurture itself in every possible way but the basic requirement today still remains unchanged. With the facts like food, shelter and clothing; education has also become an area of primary concern.

Education is a path towards civilization, in other words it can be said that more we are educated, more civilized we become. “Education does not mean teaching people to know what they do not know; it means teaching them to behave as they do not behave” a famous line beautifully quoted by John Ruskin. It not only generate us knowledge but we know how to act in public or private displayed forum.

Education nowadays has become an exceptional channel of modernization- it can be realized from the fact that the change in upbringing of the habitat to socializing. The education system in India is merely a theoretical version which helps our students to jam or cram over the topic, losing a chance to visualize the total concept about the matter it dealt with. The system earns the title of “rote” entity which only helps to bring marks during the exams, but the real purpose is not served, so their remains a question are we truly educated?

Since education scheme in our country is economical, it limits the number of seat which throws the real talent into an area of depression as the seats are generally sold to students who can randomly pay big amount. This system creates a great vacuum not only between the parents and children but also between the teacher and students, this is because there prevails a strict theoretical teaching where a student feels scared to ask an essential questions even if they fail to understand a basic language.

Sometimes it so happens that the child doesn’t have his own opinion towards his career choice. They are forced to pursue career based on the whims and fancies of their parents, which gradually become their generation tradition- i.e. doctor, engineer, teacher etc.

The term inspiration and motivation doesn’t exist in their dictionary, due to this a student mind is generally diverted and in spite of having a great ability he becomes invisible in the crowd.  A small word brings huge developmental change within a student’s mind where he or she became aware of the fact that they too can have a big dreams and goals in their life. As maximum of our inhabitants belong from a rural area so they are hardly accustomed with this word and its application in the real life.

Education today has become business, with the opening of many private institutes offering variety of degree has given a high range of scope with a bit of doubt. Though it is said Indian society has a poor background still it has a mark of producing brilliant talents across the globe.

What is the national game of India? Hockey? Are you sure? You have read this on the study book or general knowledge book. By book, you are absolutely correct. But those people could not study books like you, depending on general source of information or common sense, he or she very easily can come up with an answer cricket. Still if you go to various Indian villages, you will found many answering cricket. The reason is very simple. They are not wrong at all. The hype they see and feel in India for cricket, the answer is expected.

The popularity of Indian cricket was always there. But not only that, the popularity is still increasing. There was a time when cricket used to be 3 days of single inning test match and 5 days of double innings test match. 3 days test are no more in business. 5 days are still being played by the cricket playing countries though the future of test cricket is about to sink deep. There was a time when one day match used to be a 60 overs inning match. Later it came down to 50 overs inning match. Each team will get 50 overs to bat. This is still in being played and popular form of cricket though it has lost a big time popularity after the 20 over inning match had been introduced. So there is more or less a popularity percentage for particular forms of cricket but the popularity of cricket is high in India.

Competing with cricket, hockey found a tough asks to get the popularity. Players always try to put extra effort to get the popularity strike in India like cricket and cricketers. But they fail. Couple of years back there was a time when hockey also had popularity in India. That time Indian cricket had different phase. Cricket was not so regular like this time it happens. People used to sit to watch the hockey match but nowadays the cricket happens so often that overtook the popularity.

The recent popular stuff on television for India, Indians and the overseas also is Indian Premier League. A huge amount of money count, big players, and big arrangements make it look so glamorous. It was started 6 years back. Hockey was entirely covered under when it was started. Yes a question can come to your mind that how IPL covered up or pushed back the game hockey, it does not run entire of the year. Correct it is.

But IPL is long tournament of 45 to 50 days. The other cricket playing country boards have found the popularity of IPL is so high all over the world; it is tough to deny and arrange non Indian cricket tour. It makes no TRP, no endorsement, and no profit. Watching the popularity of IPL, this year the premier league of hockey is being introduced with the same pattern IPL is played and arranged. But after the first season of the Indian Hockey league, hockey is unable to retrieve its popularity back though it is still the national game of India.

When Nature Calls

Bakkhali is becoming one of the popular destinations for the tourists in India. It is located in south 24 Paraganas district of West Bengal, India. Interestingly Bakkhali is located in a delta Iceland of South Bengal, a place to enjoy the natural beauty of ‘Bay of Bengal’.

There was a time people used find secret beaches. Not exactly used to, but still people do. Sea coast has been the ultimate romance destination for all the time. Spending time with friends, family loved one or even alone is always special. Spending the night on the beach, making food on the beach is always sounding delicious. Bakkhali is one of the best places for all these. Not a huge number of people go there very often. The crowd is limited. You can enjoy your privacy in the beach as well. As the crowd is limited you will never found dirt on the beach like food skin, empty bottles but natural elements.

Bakkhali is 130 KM away from Kolkata. You can go by bus, by car, by train anything you want. But there is no way to dodge Namkhana on the way. Namkhana is the nearest rail station from Bakkhali located 40 KM away beside the Hatania-Doania creek. If you are going by bus or car, the bus or car is needed to cross the creek on a special ferry. If you are going by train, you need to get down at Namkhana, the last stoppage. You will get cycle van outside the station to reach the creek. Another type of ferry for human transportation will take you to another side of the creek. Public bus or car for rent will available to reach the destination. Sometime it may sound like journey to Bakkhali is very tough and hectic. But the truth is it will be an unforgettable experience in life. It will be an awesome feeling like journey to life.

The hotels are very near to the beach. Government and private, both kinds of hotels are available. Few hotels have fantastic view of the sea. Few hotels can provide only the sea roar. But one thing that every hotel can provide is a fantastic living experience along with food. The varieties of food are not available in Bakkhali. No multi cuisine restaurants are available at the place. You can only have Bengali foods along with sea fish dishes.

Local people are very helpful. The population of local people is medium. Fishing and tourism is the primary occupation for the local people. They run hotels, restaurants. They do fishing on a regular basis. Few people ride motor vehicle for the local transportation.

Henry’s Iceland: Henry’s Iceland is 6 KM away from Bakkhali. The Iceland is completely covered with mangrove forest. Only a single muddy way is there as the connector to the city. Small house are there for living. At the age of the Iceland a secret beach will be waiting for you where no one goes as such. Very few people go there. If you go, you will of course have a chance to be alone on the entire beach to feel the bigness of the world. The beach will be waiting for you with all the natural elements on it and thousands of red crabs.
