Just like with humans, one can probably find it easy for getting the things done with pets, especially dogs. By setting up a particular day and regular time for it, washing a dog can be done with ease. Although these furry animals cannot read calendars, but can keep a track for the setting up of a routine for bathing. This eventually smoothens up the entire procedure.

In addition one should have the entire knowledge of when to wash the dog. It assists one to enable a certain kind of routine of performing it always. It further results in less consumption of time and more enjoyment for the dog. Before beginning the water, one must ensure to keep every thing handy. This comprises of towels, brush and dog shampoo and in certain cases dog conditioner. However the specifications of which kind of shampoo and conditioner should be used relies on the illnesses of the dog, age and breed. If one notices that the dog is reacting by the application of regular shampoo then one should contact a vet.

It however relaxes the dog for brushing his or her coat just few minutes before getting wet. Moreover it ensures to be easier for one to wash the full skin and fur of the dog. This assists in protecting it from matting. Meanwhile one can even check for ticks or any other sorts of irregularities on the dog’s skin as concerned.

It should be made sure that the dog is thoroughly soaked in water before the application of shampoos. One should be careful enough for not getting the shampoo near the eyes. The most effective and safest approach is beginning from the top side to down and then backwards. Therefore staring of the bath should be done from the top side of the head to the tail and then down the legs. Certain areas have thicker fur and so one would require spending sufficient time working with the shampoo.

Following up the directions given on the bottle is a must. The reaction of the dog should be paid well attention. One should also be careful of not getting inside the ears of the dog, further leading to ear infections. It would be better if the ears of dog are wiped with a damp and warm cloth.

Rinsing is also a vital point which should be done after bathing the dog. This ensures in the removal of the left over shampoo from the skin or fur of the dog. Itchiness can lead to be irritating or potentially hazardous if any left over shampoo dries over the dog’s fur or skin. For avoiding this one should run water over the dog’s fur until the left over shampoo comes out. Towels should be laid on the floor for drying the dogs. Big dogs require hair dryer whereas small dogs require in adjusting the temperature for their comfort. Hence it is essential for bathing and washing dogs perfectly and those who do not know how to wash a dog should follow up proper steps.
